The Kenosha House

The Kenosha House was a popular inn at the top of Kenosha Pass,

which was a bottleneck for riders traveling from South Park to the North Fork South Platte River Valley on the Stagecoach Road. The establishment sold liquor and provided room and board for travelers, local miners, and even outlaws. The Kenosha House is included in Jim Reynold's treasure map, as shown below. It was no doubt a rowdy, lawless place.
